A novel signal-adaptive multi-feature extraction algorithm for arrhythmia detection

Abstract Background The significant features like an amplitude and intervals of electrocardiograph or P-QRS-T wave represent the functionality heart. Accurate extraction these helps in capturing characteristics signal helpful for detection cardiac abnormalities. In this paper, a novel folding-based algorithm is proposed to obtain detailed information about complex morphology signal. It explores denoising feature specific ECG signals. Results experimental study conducted using MIT-BIH Arrhythmia database records with known conditions left bundle branch block, right Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome beats has been considered. Heart rate values selected from dataset synthetic signals simulator yielded same thus validate our approach. Conclusion determines heart rate, percentage leakage around peak capable folding very efficiently based on detected R peaks period-dependent gate(window).
